Children have always been the beginning of Maggie's work, not the destination. What started as a personal journey to better understand her own son gradually became a broader exploration of human behavior, emotional development, communication, and connection. Whether writing a children's book, speaking to educators, or exploring adult behavior through essays, she keeps returning to the same question: what shapes the people we become?
Before becoming an author, Maggie spent more than twenty-five years in advertising, branding, communication, and storytelling, helping organizations understand how people think, feel, choose, and connect. In 2019 she co-founded Urban Nomads, a communications studio in Athens. Although the agency closed during the pandemic, it became another chapter in her lifelong exploration of storytelling and human behavior.
That same curiosity eventually led her into child development, attachment, neuroscience, and parent coaching, not as a career change, but as a deeper way of understanding the same human stories. It's the thinking behind Bonding Nest, the community she founded to help adults understand the children in their lives.
That exploration continues in her books, children's stories, neuroscience-informed parenting guides, and behavioral essays that return, again and again, to one enduring curiosity: why we do what we do.
Today, whether writing for a five-year-old, a parent, or a curious adult, her work stays grounded in one belief.
Bonding Nest was created from one belief: children thrive when the adults around them understand them.
Over the years it has grown into a collaborative community bringing together professionals, educators, and specialists who share the same vision, helping adults build stronger, healthier relationships with children. Through workshops, educational tools, family experiences, talks, books, and collaborations with organizations including the Hellenic Children's Museum and Project Parenting, Bonding Nest continues working toward one mission: changing the way the world views children.
Today Bonding Nest also serves as a home for professionals who believe children deserve relationships built on respect, connection and evidence-based understanding.

See the books →An ongoing essay series on Substack, exploring behavior, parenting, and the everyday moments that reveal more about us than we usually notice.
Read the essays →Whether writing for children, parents, or curious adults, Maggie's books explore the emotional patterns that shape human experience.
Maggie's writing also includes newspaper columns, educational resources, essays, corporate publications, public campaigns, and long-form storytelling, always bringing together story, science, and communication.
Alongside trade publishing, Maggie has written corporate books, destination publications, public campaigns and long-form brand narratives, believing that every subject deserves the same care for story, structure and humanity.
Essays on the wonderfully unfinished experience of being a grown person who still doesn't have it figured out.
How the patterns learned in childhood quietly shape the adults we become, and what it takes to notice them.
Digital belonging, overstimulation, and performance identity, and what growing up looks like now.
What fiction, humor, and behavioral science each understand about human nature that the others miss.
Why explaining behavior through science is the beginning of accountability, not an excuse from it.
Maggie has spoken for schools, museums, conferences, educational organizations and businesses, translating neuroscience and human behavior into conversations that audiences immediately recognize in everyday life.
