About Maggie

The work changed form. The question never really did.

I have spent most of my professional life trying to understand people: what they need, what they fear, what they believe and why they so often say one thing while doing something impressively different.

For more than two decades, I worked in multinational advertising as a copywriter and creative director. It taught me how language shapes behaviour, how stories change what people notice and how easily an idea can become part of the culture around us. It also gave me a remarkably detailed education in human contradiction.

My work later expanded into books, creative writing, parenting, neuroscience and emotional regulation. I hold a master’s degree in Creative Writing, trained as a Parent Coach with the JAI Institute for Parenting and continued my education in child development, the nervous system and neuroscience coaching.

I was Project Manager for Athens 2018 – UNESCO World Book Capital, an experience that brought together books, public space, culture and the complicated but worthwhile work of turning ideas into something people can actually enter.

I founded Bonding Nest to create tools, programmes and spaces that make science and emotional understanding accessible to children, parents and educators. Because important knowledge is not particularly useful when it remains trapped inside language only specialists can understand.

Today I write books and essays, develop educational material and create talks and programmes for schools, museums, organisations, companies and families. The formats vary. The work remains connected by curiosity, respect and the belief that people understand more when we speak to them as people. Revolutionary, apparently.
